A few months ago I took note of the neon bright colors on the runways. I thought who in heavens name will wear that in reality, how many of us are going to go out dressed like one of those bright orange and yellow road signs? But then I saw them smartly displayed in the Gina Tricot storefronts and I immediately fell in love with the somewhat daring looks.
But then again, as you dolls know presentation is everything. I had in fact hunted down (like quite literally) candy colored pants all spring for my perfect fit, leider no brand, not even my favorites seemed to work. It could have been the 1 or 2 kilos that I gained over the winter…. okay (you forced it out of me, 3 kilos). And for those who don’t use the metric system, I really can’t work it out for you in lbs. Not because the left side of my brain doesn’t function as well as the right side but because it looks so much worse to type it or even utter it in lbs!!! The number goes up!!!!
So back to the neon colored trend, which you may be thinking right now is probably not appropriate with my extra kilos and all. But the Gina Tricot pants I found fit me so perfectly. I had to buy it, which is my usual defense concerning my shopping addiction problem. My only concern is that you’d have to make sure that the outfit you’re wearing works with particular colored shades – I prefer black, beige or white. You see dolls, the thing to be careful about with all this neon bright trend is that it’s a thin line between looking trendy and looking… not so expensive. So try to be more subtle, pick your neon piece and pair it with a classy counterpart! Enjoy stopping traffic.
